How to Wash your Egyptian Cotton Bathrobe
Bathrobes are usually made of delicate, fine cotton and need to be taken care of. Aside from the fact that they are made from fine cotton, your skin is exposed to it at its most delicate time – right out the shower and therefore should be given its adequate attention.
If not given their proper care, your robes will quickly lose its longevity. It is important to note that Egyptian cotton is the best cotton on the market and can be pricier than regular cotton hence, it ensures a longer lifespan by allocating proper care to them. Luckily, washing your Egyptian cotton actually helps soften the fibres. So don’t hesitate to wash them.
Wash Your Robes Alone:
Because of its delicate fibres, it is easy for a stray button or zip to rub off on your robes and cause friction. The first thing to note while washing them is to wash them separately.
Remove Stains First
Before washing your bathrobe or putting it in the washing machine, take the stains out first. Use a teaspoon of baking soda and a half cup of vinegar to remove those tough stains.
Do Not Bleach!
When dealing with stains on your robes, do not use harsh chemicals like bleach to take them out. You stand to ruin the entire fabric by bleaching it. Instead, use the organic products as earlier stated to take those tough stains out.
Wash with cold/room temperature water
While washing your bathrobes in the washing machine, put them in a cold gentle wash to keep your fibres from shrinking. A slow gentle spin will reduce the risks of your robes being damaged.
Dry your bathrobes
Gentle dry your robes in a low-warm setting. We recommend you air-dry them to save electricity and to prevent shrinkage and rumpling.
Taking proper care of your bathrobes is essential for maintaining its lifespan and quality. Keep your Egyptian cotton robes looking fresh and feeling like new by adhering to these steps.
