Tips to tackle insomnia

First things first, there are no specific cures to tackle insomnia, but certain steps with proper dedication can easily solve the issue.
Now many things affect our ability to sleep soundly or without any difficulty but I have GOOD NEWS; you don’t need to break the bank to fix this issue. In fact, all you need might be a change of mattress or bedding, simple as that.
Here are a few tips that are guaranteed to give good results.
Increase Melatonin intake:
Melatonin is a sleep hormone with the main role of regulating our sleep cycle to make us sleep and wake easily. The best way to do this is to consume more foods with folic acid, vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin c, and zinc. This would entail consuming more chicken, turkey, milk, eggs and seafood.
Stay away from stimulants:
To prevent insomnia, avoid stimulants such as caffeinated drinks and reduce your intake of sugary food to keep blood sugar at an even level. This may require eating whole grain pasta and brown rice as opposed to white rice.
Try herbs and minerals to relax you:
Foods that contain minerals such as magnesium and calcium are vital for solving sleep difficulties. They are perfect for calming your muscles and nerves and relaxing you. Foods such as nuts, green vegetables and whole grains are rich in magnesium. Herbs such as chamomile, passion flower, lemon balm and bitter orange have sleep-inducing properties and can be even used as essential oils in your bath before bed.
