HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR BEDDING?

The number of times recommended to wash sheets, pillowcases and other bedding is primarily dependent on the use and amount of contact with our body.

Sheets and Pillowcases
how you should wash your bedding - sheets and pillowcases - bedsheets express
It is quite important to know how often to wash your sheets as we do not sleep alone in our beds. We settle in at night with microscopic dust mites. Washing your sheets regularly reduces the appeal of dust mites to want to live in your sheets which if they do makes the sheets unpleasant for humans.

A good idea is to wash your sheets once a week or every two weeks if you or any member of your family is feeling unwell, be sure to wash your sheets daily or change the pillowcases daily.

Pillows
how you should wash your bedding - pillows - bedsheets express
If you make use of pillow protectors and under your pillowcases, you’d probably need to just wash your pillows three times a year. Your pillow protectors, however, should be unzipped and washed once a month.
If however, you don’t use pillow protectors, then you should wash your pillows monthly or once every other month.

Duvet Covers

Unless something spills on your duvet, you’d only need to wash it once or twice a year.  The duvet cover can be washed weekly.
If there is no separate cover for the duvet, then you have to wash the entire duvet every week and whenever there is a spill or stain.

Types of Morning People

From snoozers to coffee addicts to the grumpies, with the beginning of every new day, new opportunities are discovered and how one responds to this early morning call is thought of.

We have different types of morning persons and this list is based on how different people respond to the early morning call. Here is a list of the types of morning people we have:

Early Birds
We’ve all encountered the early bird and are familiar with this type of people. The early bird is up as soon as the alarm goes off, although sometimes they get up even before the alarm goes off. By the time every other person is just rolling out of the bed at 9 am, the early birds already have completed their morning routine which might include going to the gym, having breakfast, doing some yoga and finally attending to work emails.

The Coffee Addicts

Don’t try talking to this type before they’ve had their morning charge, you’ll be putting yourself at risk. These type of people do not function properly until they’ve had their morning dose of coffee after which they are ready to take on the world.

The Snoozers
The snoozers are drawn to snoozing as soon as the alarm goes off. They are so much in love with their sleep and hate to roll out of bed but when they do, efficiency is key. They have mastered the art of 2 minutes shower and downing their coffee in record time (legendary!)

The Grumpy Folks
These ones aren’t morning persons at all and you do not approach them. The alarm is their mortal enemy and they’d love nothing more than to snuggle deep into their duvets and sleep.
The Living Dead
Lol, also called the walking dead, this type of people are early birds on the outside but on the inside, they aren’t fully awake. Every information passed within the early hours of the morning goes into one ear and out the other.
There are certain things you can do to become a better morning person and here are four (4) tips:
1. Go to bed earlier.
2. Eat breakfast; do not skip breakfast.
3. Exercise.
4. Organize yourself; organize your day, pick your clothes for the next day, prepare your lunch etc. all of these would help your morning routine be less stressful.

How To Make Your Diffusers Last Longer

how to make your diffusers last longer - blog - bedsheets express

It’s really hard to say goodbye to that special scent you wake up to every morning or that fragrance that feels your office with such an energizing mood. So how can you milk your diffuser to the last drop?

Here’s how,

In your reed diffuser, you will have about 8 sticks or more, instead of using them all, diffuse with just half of the sticks

If you don’t need your diffuser running, maybe you need to step out or you’re even travelling, simply place your reeds on a wooden tray until you’re ready to diffuse again.

You can also wait a while before changing your reeds based on your preference.

If you want to increase the impact of the fragrance, you can use a cloth to flip the reeds frequently. The more you flip them the greater the impact.

Keep your diffuser at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

Reduce the use of fans and air conditioning in the room, especially when the diffuser is not in use.

Use few reeds for a small room and more reed for a larger space.

Do not dilute your reeds with oil, water or anything.

Try these tips and be sure to give us feedback on how they work out for you.

Till next time.
